CLC curriculum has two components. The first component includes content area courses in
Reading, Math, Science, Social Studies and World Language.
The second component is to expand beyond the IEP goals and to address the transition plan
of everyday living, life skills, employment, and post secondary placement.
CLC offers a dynamic counseling program. Our social workers provide a link between home,
school and community. We work intensely with both students and parents, providing
individual, group and crisis counseling on a weekly basis.
Students will develop and maintain appropriate work skills and behavior. Students will have
the opportunity to apply for campus positions of employment.
High School Seniors and Juniors will be afforded the opportunity to work off campus as part
of our work study program. Students must be on the proper level of behavior and must
display proper social skills.
At our Howell Campus classroom instruction is reinforced by synchronizing student field
trips and activities that reflect upon their academic studies.
Our full time Field Trip Coordinator affiliates our program with the State Theater in New
Brunswick, NJ, Kateri Environmental Center in Wickatunk, NJ and the Algonquin Theater in
Manasquan, NJ.
